Turbo'ing your lancer information

checkout hieu's yezz mirage. but it's not solely dependent on the amount of boost you run its all about how well it is tuned and how smooth the boost curve is. that's what you want and what will keep you from blowing it up

Is it possible to change the orientation on all t2 flanges turbos (I.E. chanibg the direction the outlet faces)
Dont know about all, but some T2 (apparently) simply need to be "forced" to rotate (google reckons a piece of wood in the intake outlet and spinning).

Depends what you ask of them. If you give them a car and just say turbo it for me, then yeah I'd imagine it would be upwards of $4,000, pretty easily. It is close to $4,000 to do a basic setup yourself and that's not paying for labor. A shop is going to charge labor for every hour that goes into it not to mention parts, materials etc that probably won't be given to you cost price. Not to mention you don't learn anything.

Yeah fair enough , I just don't have a lot of time on my hands , but mostly I don't have much knowledge haha . And I'm guessing turboing a car is a pretty full on procedure .

It's only full on if you rush it. You can chip away at it little by little over 12 months by collecting parts and waiting for deals. I literally just sold an entire ready to go turbo kit for 800 plus postage.

haha damn , id like to know when a sale like that comes up again!
but id still struggle very much with the DIY mechanics haha most ive done is change my oils lol

Does a 2
Re: What Turbos are best for CE lancers.

Regards to going turbo and what you will usually need to factor in:

- bigger injectors
- remap fuel system (unichip, safc, etc.)
- intercooler
- turbo
- cooler pipes
- tapped oil sump
- decomp plate
- oil and water lines teed off the pressure sender
- turbo exhaust manifold and modified exhaust pipe
- fuel pump and pressure regulator depending on boost levels.
- modplate or engineering.

forged internals if you wanting to run decent psi and not *meow* footing.

Intercooler setup

On a standard front bar ce lancer (h) 300mm intercooler is to big to fit really. 180mm will fill the middle gap of the stock bar and 220mm will fit with out the intercooler petruding under the stock bar or interferring with the tow hook.

So does a 520x220x60 fit?

Probably best to grab a tape and measure what size you think you can fit, and get an idea of how much you are willing to cut out of your front bar
