Turbo'ing your lancer information

Don't know the brand, quality or build material. Wouldn't trust it. If you don't like the stock mani then just put a heatshield over it. They look the goods.

Re: What Turbos are best for CE lancers.

Regards to going turbo and what you will usually need to factor in:

- bigger injectors
- remap fuel system (unichip, safc, etc.)
- intercooler
- turbo
- cooler pipes
- tapped oil sump
- decomp plate
- oil and water lines teed off the pressure sender
- turbo exhaust manifold and modified exhaust pipe
- fuel pump and pressure regulator depending on boost levels.
- modplate or engineering.

forged internals if you wanting to run decent psi and not *meow* footing.

Intercooler setup

On a standard front bar ce lancer (h) 300mm intercooler is to big to fit really. 180mm will fill the middle gap of the stock bar and 220mm will fit with out the intercooler petruding under the stock bar or interferring with the tow hook.

What's the pressure sender and where's it located ?

If you've got a plastic case ECU(which you could well have already), reflash the one you have.

How would I find this out ?

Your ECU is under the dash, on the inside of the passenger side guard. Get down on the ground and you'll be able to see it sitting in a bracket, if it's black it's plastic. If it's silver it's metal.

The
I'm no turbo guru but hopefully this will help people out who are thinking of going turbo.

Where allowed to dream  .

So most popular turbos in use for the ce lancer 1.8
GT25
T28
Td04
Td05 (Evo 1-3)

RPW link to GT25 Turbo with spec list of whats been done and dyno graph. 130 hp atw on 7psi.http://74.53.202.41/shop/index.php?...itsubishi-lancer-ce-ch-fwd-vehicles&Itemid=40

SyKRyD members page with two different turbos be used and dyno graphs

GT25 @ 10.5 psi @ 110kw roughly with turbo from 3000 by the looks.
GTGarrett GT2876R @ 25psi 244kw turbo kicking in @ 3500 revs? (most effective from 4500 onwards)

SyKRyD if you could comment would be great..

12SHW CM5A
Pulled 190 hp (@ WHAT PSI SAM) so 130-140kw atw these figures are close to what DVS45 & 91LTI got out of there CM5A conversions aswell and low 14's down the 1/4.

Hopefully we can find some dyno figures or rough quotes on Evo turbos being used..

Obvisouly all dynos will be different in numbers and some engines mods are different aswell so its just a guide guys once we get a few tables up will hopefully help people in the future know what they want. ie. fast spooling car or high hp, or just the bov noise.

Manifolds:

The last lancer I drove was boosted and it was a 4g15 it has a t28 turbo on it if it is done right it could be sitting on 0 pound on idle that was booted for 16 pound my mate got it of some nz blokes in qld because the timing was out and they bent the values

Just wanted to link the 3 MCM videos on how to turbo your car. Pretty much explains everything you need to know. A lot of help for those who don't know anything and need things explained simply and easily (like myself).

Anybody know of anywhere that makes T25 turbo manifolds for the 4g15 that isn't RPW? I was going to get a cast manifold from the US, but they are all made for a T3 turbo and I'm wanting to use a T25. I can get a T3>T25 adaptor from Mamba, but the design of the T3 manifold + this adaptor would put the turbo where the radiator is....

Anyone running a td04-L 16g off a rex? you can get prefab manifolds for the 93/94 to fit the suby flange

I can't think of anyone on here who does. You'd probably looking at a custom manifold.
You can get the Kinugawa manifold with a T25 flange Click HERE for link and fit up a T28 which has been popular.
I'll be going that route soon... If my inheritance ever comes through. :confused2:
