To do a package like what you are after would be around the $6k range for motor, exhaust, coil over strut suspension, retuning etc.

One thing to consider, instead of doing the 4G15 DOHC engine, to do the 4G93 SOHC engine which is a very easy swap and has a lot more torque etc than the 1.5 engine. Would only be a little more expensive to do but results would be massively larger.

for the conversion:

You don’t need a harness.

To do the conversion you need a complete 1.8 engine incl gearbox

Use the 1.5 harness / distributor and convert the engine to distributor ignition

Run a piggy back ecu system
This reply to your email is about the most ridicules load of crap i've ever seen, Talk about doing things the hard way and after doing all that extra crap what are the gains going to be ? , not 6k's worth thats for sure.
4G93 is a direct bolt up with plug and play why try to reinvent the wheel, convert it a dizzy and rewire wtf?
Theres is so many more options , pretty much all of them tbh you could do with six or so grand and have a much better base to build off.
But thats what happens when you go to a shop i spose, Learn off here and the net and do a 4G93 conversion your self for under $500

The good thing here is Eric is not here in WA so there is little to no chance of bringing his car to RPW....
Seriously if you want to swap tp a bigger engine then we here on the forums can give you step by step instructions and depending on were you live there may be helping hand for this swap it really is easy... hell I am a 47yr old female and I can rip an engine out and drop in a new one... if I can do it then there is n excusses why you cant - believe in your self

And $500 is about right for engine swap all the other things are possible and easily done

Bullshit, Or Not ?

My missus got a dohc 4g15 put in her mirage for 2200 including a new clutch and the engine, all that needed doin was a price of pipe adding to the exhaust coz the manifold sits a little higher than the sohc

Who did the conversion for you?

What about this 4G15 MIVEC Turbo engine? May I do a swap in a 2001 Mirage with a 4G15 SOHC , 5 speed tranny?

Any one knows if a 6G engine like a 4G15 MIVEC turbo will fit in a 5G 2001 Mirage. I am asking because I didn't know that this 4G15 MIVEC Turbo engine existed. I haven't seen any comments regarding this type of swap. Since my car has a 4G15 SOHC , I was wondering if this swap is possible. Thanks.

Anyone know if this engine would fit in a 2001 Mirage ?
It has a 4G15 SOHC engine with 5 speed manual tranny.

This new 4G15 MIVEC Turbo has the same orientation than mine.

Any expert advise is welcome. Also, tell me where to get that engine. I would like to swap mine with alittle monster like this 4G15 MIVEC turbo engine.

There were sime that had the intake up front im sure

Other that that the engine is too small and the mountin pisitions are completely in the wrong pisitions

None at all. All bolts In. I want to see a 4g64 into a little lancer

For a 4G94 conversion you'd need the ECU etc of course, not just the motor.

There is one on the US Mirage site. In fact if I am not mistaken the guy has used a 4G64 block and installed a DOHC head on it from a KIA so he has a 2.4L DOHC Lancer coupe.
