You'd have to get large pictures of the cars, then go around removing all of the white/whatever background they were on if you wanted coloured mugs (blue, black, etc) otherwise the cars would look really, really bad. With a white mug it's not so bad.
I don't really care what it looks like TBH. If it has cars, cool. If it doesn't, no big deal. It's a mug not a fashion statement.
Dave, nicely said. I would like to add, though, branding and logos are important to a company/club/institution... so messing with them can be worse for your brand in the long run. My wife's company has a logo, which has not yet changed in 8 years, others have tried to use something similar but our lawyer asks them to change, we have the trademark.
Which is why the Coca Cola ribbon device font is immediately understood, or the Apple logo, or the McDonalds golden arches... Its not only just the wording, but also the FONT, IMAGE and COLOURATION.
Once Ryan has nutted down what his brand is to be, from all of your assistance, I would humbly suggest that it appears like that on most of the merchandising.
Might want to bring this to your attention but depending on the output of the printing/labeling/what ever they use will effect the image.
Ryan whats the DPI on the printer they use for the mugs. If the printer is higher than 100dpi then you should be fine, but anything lower than 72dpi and it will appear worse than what it does on screen, and will have a large lack of detail.
Guys, fear not.. I know the fellow who owns this business, he is a biker at my club. I will be getting a sample first.. I will show Ryan, he will decide.
im in, but would prefer the 3rd option with some nice lancers on the cup. sykryd would defs have to be one... or even just sykryds lancer on the cup haha
guys, it will come down to the vote, then what Ryan puts his tick to.. I wont be in a position to do individual mugs at that price... the discount is in the quantity... Although, if you really want option 3 and don't care about $30 each.. I can get it done.
Guys, thanks for voting and your patience. I have now received the proof (which is a test mug), to see if it meets with everyone's (and ultimately Ryan's) approval. If so, I will firm up 20 orders and place it.
Let me know what you all think. Also, please firm up your order, as per the pricing information left by Ryan earlier.
