CONSOLE ISSUES

yeha i am going to pull the dash out in a couple of weeks just need to set apart some time to do it with work and stuff atm its touch n go so i dont really have the time to have a full day to have my car in pieces.

but yes i do agree with you atm it does look "unfinished" but i will continue soon.

storm troopers dont have red

That car was called the 'Storm Trooper' model... I realise they don't have red...

Geez.. where were you in 1976 when I watched Star Wars IV at the cinema!!??!!

I actually love the look of the suede with the stitching... even if it is an extra colour.

I would love to do mine in black suede with a burnt orange stitching.... Too lazy to take out the dash again...

If I had my time again, I would have it all set up, so that I did it only once and completely - to a very high degree of finish....

I wish you all the best for yours..

looks great, hope it all holds on well for ya
and i thinks you should spray your aircon vents next :p

remove plastic bezel around head unit.
2 screws for the console are there.
2 where handbrake
1 on each side in the footwell

Aas for the glove box, open it up and look down the bootom there will be some clips that stop it opening all the way to the floor, just give these a push as you open it toward the floor and it will go right down, then there is 2 screws on a reo bar. Thats it easy as.

as always guys thanks for the advice and help =]

yeah i wanna do the vent but once again cant get to them without getting the entire dash out so
i will just need to set some time apart.

started the glove box today will have pics up later on.

also went to auto bahn and looked at pod filters and k & N panel filters.
i think i am going to go with the panel filter..

panel ftw, then run a pipe from the airbox to the front bar seems to be the best bang for the buck
