so if anyone knows how to remove this part and other surrounding parts please help. thanks

Tried looking for screws at the opposite end to where your hand is in the second photo?

yeah i have taken them out it seems to catch when i lift it out... not sure if to force and it will unclip or its caught cause of something hidden

from memory there is 2 screws near your hand in second pic on the floor and 2 on either side of the ash tray, you need to remove the face piece from around the head unit and ash tray to get at these

ahh i see so i remove the headunit surround and then that will free the other.

thanks guys!.

any tips on how to make the surface and end result of a spray paint as smooth as possible?

putty, or spray on filler, or primer+filler in one (which doesnt work too well)

buy can or tin of filler, read intructions on can, rough up serface, spray on many coats till filled, then sand with wet and dry or more aggressive sand paper if needed, then repeat till all is filled

if your only gonna do it black just rough it up abit with some oh that scuffy stuff(whats on the back of a dishwashing sponge  ) and do it matt black.. gloss or what ever will look terrible unless you do the whole fill in the groves *poo*. also make sure you do heaps of coats like at least 3.

imo painted bright colour interiors are eww unless the rest of the car is modded too like SKYRYD's..
just my 2c

ok i have taken out all the parts i am going to prep to paint i have the AC facia already done it looks good but i am still having trouble
with one piece i hope someone can help me cause it is the main piece i wanna paint.

should fill the parts with filler/putty/fiberglass b4 u paint it, coz u will get an awsome finish if its smoothe, get a nice finish like the exterior paint on ur car

but if u wanna do it the easy way it'll still look pretty good

well im fairly sure your going to have to remove the ENTIRE dash
its not too hard, more annoying if anything
it does help if you remove the steering wheel too.
but since all the screws holding in that top section are behind the dash you will need to take it all out and unscrew it from there

got to pull dash out to do that part

dont use fiberglass, fiberglassbog, or bog. just use spray putty

would look sweet if you pulled the dash out and painted the part to follow the line you have painted already. if you just painted the glove box it will look just like any other kid that thinks custom trinm is just the lil peices that are held in with 2 screws.

nice StormTrooper armour look... I have seen this made look very good... check below (nice with the suede dash)!
