Official too lazy to search, noob friendly thread.

Well it goes like this:

Pull out your door cards. Check your wiring. Can it be plugged into your existing interior loom? If yes, plug and play. If no, go to auto elec.

I had a look on the drivers side, no sign of a loose plug so I'm saying not, knew I should have got the GSR ;)

The 93 coupe has no power in the door, I had to add the central locking not long after getting it.

215/45's or (if your worried about tyre fouling guards) 205/45's for moderate stretch.

I got 16x8 with 205's. Only got scrubbing on splash guard up front and on rears when fat kents come for a jolly joyride.

Anyone tried fitting Braided Brake Lines?

I've does some quick searches but no luck with non EVO Lancers. Even tried Proton as a search.

Heaps of people have. Not worth the coin unless you go track spec.

HEL brake lines is what MCM used in that video.
You can get them here. That's where I bought mine from.
Not really worth it unless you need to replace the lines.

Well it's something to keep in mind while I'm doing the brakes.

Wish you could get them locally.

My lines were sourced from HEL UK, as they were $30 cheaper overall compared to HEL Australia. Perhaps trying a google search might show you what youre after

I did the full upgrade, from brake master, booster (which i never got around to installing), front and rear calipers and discs. The brake lines were the next bottleneck in the system, and was cheap enough to upgrade.
Realistically, braided lines stop excessive spongyness in the pedal, and makes the braking effort solid and much firmer.

I'll probably do the braided lines later, depending on what money I have.

New question(s)

I've notice for a while the drivers do might have dropped a fraction, it's scrapping on the top edge of the side skirts.
Can they be adjusted and how? Yes I've Googled it and not found the answer.

Also when I had the door cards off I noticed the plastic weather lining has shrunk and needs replacing, what's the best place place to get suitable replacement. The plastic tends to be stretchy and is stuck on with black gunk. I went to Clark Rubber and they didn't stock anything like it.

Rip that plastic lining off clean the devils goop off with wax n grease remover and be winning at life.

My mums accord had that problem. It wouldn't sit right at all after a while. It was so bad that if the car hit a speed hump too hard, the door would come out a bit and the interior light would come on. I had to move the part that's attached to the car around a bit until the right spot was found for it so it would keep the door closed properly. You know the little latch thing that's on the car itself which goes into the door when it's closed? It also fixed the door from scraping the bottom.

Mine was like that too, I just pulled the plastic over and squished it into the black stuff lol.

Thanks for the reply, so you can't adjust the hinges them selves?

I'll have a closer look when I put my freshly painted mirrors back on this morning.

I'd like to get some new plastic and black goo so when I take to cards off to finish the job it's done right and hopefully I won't need to touch them again for years.

im sure you could but the dodgy way is to do what I said lol

Do you sit lower in the car if you have evo seats?

Can I change the exhaust rubbers on my car myself?

Which lancer sedan came with power windows? The glxi's I have seen have the winders...

Are the wheel arches the same in the CE 4dr and 2dr? Just questioning as im looking at a flare kit that says for CE 2 door.
