Replacing cluster lights

Hey guys,

I've recently bought a set of blue LED lights for my cluster (speedo, tacho etc), but I'm not sure how to get the thing out to change the globes.
Is there any way to pull the cluster out without taking the entire dash apart?

I am also interested in this! Same issue as good old Scrofl here, I am tinkering around to see what is the easiest/best way so might find it out soon.

If I work it out Scrofl I'll let you know here with some pics and stuff!

Lower the steering wheel all the way down then take the 2 screws out from the top of the black surround shroud, remove the surround, then remove the 4 screws around the cluster and it will pull straight out. When changing the led's be aware that they only work one way so put them in and check them before screwing them back in, if they don't work just spin the led around. Let me know if you get stuck or need some more info :)

Just be wary as they don't come out as easily as a CE cluster. The plug is is attached via a free moving cable as opposed to being locked into the housing like it is in the CE's and when I did mine the plug was very difficult to detach from the cluster. I also had to twist and turn the cluster to get it past the steering wheel even with it lowered and ended up scratching my dash which pissed me off no end!!

If you get stuck, you can bring your car around and I can help you. I've done it heaps of times.

Ok Scrofl I have arrived with you much needed information if you haven't worked it out already! :)

I made a DIY in the CG/CH section but here is a quick link for you: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=4513

Have fun it has pictures for each step and I can answer any questions you may have about them to a point, as I just did it myself :)
