Hey all, just wondering, I have Recaro buckets out of a Ralliart Colt, want to put them in my lancer, just wondering where i can buy rails from? how much i am looking at? and whether it can be done???

hi, i was searching for the answer to just this quesion. Have u installed the seats and did they fit with a universal mounting bracket or did u have to drill some holes to get it to fit??? and how did it turn out? are you sitting much lower down now?

if u didnt notice in his signature pic of his car they are installed in that pic
so... yes
im pretty sure he used univeral mount brackets for them, he was very ahppy with them

tbh i would be looking at (if you have a CE lancer) evo 4-5-6 seats as they are bolt right in no modifications or universal rails needed, and they will be lots cheaper than the new colt seats^^^
 
I thought he used Evo rails?

He had colt seats/rails and some colt guy bought Evo 6 seats so they swapped rails
 
Id get the m21 seats like I had way cheaper bolt in same branding...

Surprised no one wanted them here I sold them for 250 stuff all for decent street ,part time track seat.leaving money for more power
 
ohh ok, yea sorry im new to this. just bought some new racing seats and gonna try n install them tomorrow. if they cant bolt straight into the existing thing, ill have to buy 2 universal rails for it. another 100 bucks :\ but we'll see..... they should look sick :D
 
if any rails you buy aren't ADR approved you will need to get it engineered or the police will defect you for them
 
yea its all adr approved... is there a way, do u know, how to take the seat brackets (like the reclining and move back and forth bit) off the actual stationary rail bit?? cuz these universal parts i think go onto the old rails, but im not sure how to take the old bits off the rails to put the new bits on? or maybe i cant take them off..

I was very lucky, i was considering selling these before putting them in the car, and i made a for sale thread, and yes a guy rang me that had a colt and recaro seats out of the evo 6, and he came over and we just swapped the rails on the seats and both bolted straight in, was very lucky, and i sit great, not really lower or higher than stock, its perfect, i would happily let you sit in it if you are in nsw and are at one of the meets
