LANCER FTO CONVERSION HELP

I initially planned to chuck the 6a12 into the nimbus when its 4g64 went. Found it too difficult to squeeze in since the engine bay is smaller. though it did come with the 6g72 from factory but the pictures looked extremely tight.

Figured torque would've been an issue for the car anyways so went with a mirage instead.

What would be a good donor for the back end of the exhaust since the 1.5 mirage had smaller pipes?
 
Man hearing urs starting up has gotten me so keen to finish mine. I keep procrastinating I've got a few wires from the mirage ecu to bring over to the fto ecu (body stuff like fuel pump and power) gotta spice out the Boddy *poo* from fto loom. And should be ok. I've also added another hurdle. My fto loom isn't abs. My mirage one is :( so yay.

I'll bet u were pumped when it started congrats :)
 
You're almost there as well man not too much to go. I was super surprised when it started, I was expecting a bit more trouble shooting to do.

I think my fuel pump and ecu power only ran on 1 line for me. Body Plug had 3 lines total on it that goes near the mirage fuse box. Fuel/ECU relay, power steering and pasaenger side radiator fan.

The other radiator fan goes to a plug behind the intake manifold which shares with the aircond lines.

I can't say I know how abs works for sure, but if it needs the ECU, you probably need to move all relevant lines to the fto ECU to get it working. Let me know if you need any help.
 
got my engine running, turns out i forgot to carry the starter motor relay plug from the mirage harness over to the fto harness.

the v6 roar sounds majestic. time to finish this up

just got to sort out the throttle cable, radiator hoses, alternator needs to be extended to reach the alternator, and figure out what to do for the aircond lines to make it fit properly.

5 stud conversion to follow if my nimbus is a suitable donor for the hubs.
hey man just doing the same swap and was just wondering which wires would i have to splice for the mirage relay as ive got the fto engine wiring harness and abit confused as the car isnt even cranking
