hye guys just chasing any info u guys might have on this conversion as in whats needed and where i can pick up what i need?

" The DOHC head conversion is quite simply the best option if you seriously want any more power from the vehicle. A Naturally aspirated tweaked DOHC package will outperform any SOHC variation short of turbocharging. Its superior flow characteristics cannot be beaten. By itself with the stock 1.5 SOHC computer this is worth 8kw at the flywheel with an increased working RPM range. This is a one day conversion which can be performed for under $2000.00 AUD$ by simply swapping the cylinder head and other minor components.
We usually source a complete 2nd hand motor, replace the timing belt and waterpump and then fit to the vehicle with RPW 4-1 Extractors, this engine comes standard with a 51mm throttle body.
You need to decide at this point because any extractor / turbocharger route requires a specific manifold / extractor for the specific cylinder head model which cannot be swapped across to the alternative.
This package upgrades the vehicle from 65kw on average to around 76kw on average at the flywheel. With above mods the vehicle should be close to around 80 - 83kw at the flywheel. Approx value around $2000.00 fitted. "

talk to luie, buy the parts from him, get someone qualified to install it.

i dont think you need ECU, but i could be wrong, coz u dont need to change the ecu going from g15sohc -> g15dohc, and thats a bigger change in stuffs than a 93 dohc conversion
new timing belt, the head ofcourse.... maybe the dizzy and ignition stuff just to be on the safe side so ur not missing anything
best bet is to jump over to import monster and import the whole engine 2nd hand IMO, may cost a buttload-ish but atleast u will have all the bits

yea my mate has a ch with the 2.4 mivec seems like a monster compaired to my 1.8, would be something different to do to a lancer. not too sure on its fitment though. his engine bay seems alot more roomy than mine

Yer i thought the same thing as my sister has the velocity prob has 86kw at the wheels as to 86kw at the motor for the 93..
I might have a good look at the two engine bays when i get some time. Matty did say you would need a evo engine mount but if you could get a whole front cut be perfect....
Be interesting to see when Matts 94 is done what he gets it will give you a good idea on power to $$$

thats true. will eep an eye on his thread then. but i have some time off so i will do some looking into things, and weigh it all up
Theres an M21 GTI wrecking on ebay atm, 6days left and last i check no bids, @99cents, worth checking it, out as it would pretty much be bolt in.

built 4b11/12 in a CE would be epic.
if you do get a DOHC head, save enough money to get the ports cleaned up and the face machined
edit: buy the proton head and run it on a CE so the intake is at the front? im sure Paul (with the 4g63 powered satria hatch) said its been done
