Introducing phpBB Garage....

Ok, well I've spent much of my evening mucking around with crap trying to shoe-horn phpBB Garage onto the forum and now I believe I have it successfully up and running. As it's technically only a BETA modification for the phpBB3 software (the developer of it seems to have long abandoned it), can you please let me know if there are any bugs you notice with it and I'll get them ironed out.

At this point in time, adding a vehicle to the garage will be limited to Premium Members.

Cheers,
Ryan

Looks good, so to add your car you do it through UCP right?

I can't at the moment, stupid filters again lol

Nope i see this

whats the advantages of this "garage"??

it will allow you to easily see the mods and performance of members cars, plus allow you to compare

Odd I cant explain that.... the Premium Member group permissions are definitely set to allow you to create a vehicle. I checked and yours personally have taken up the permissions assigned to the group, so not sure why it won't work :?

awesome stuff, i whacked mine up, gonna take a look at it to put in more info later on

Hmm mdclear, try doing a refresh (Ctrl+F5) or clearing your cache and then going to the garage.

If that doesn't solve it then it's likely it's a browser related issue, you appear to be using IE 6 so that may be the issue...

So im guessing the mod list isn't fully working yet, would let me add some details

I've enabled the Product entering for you now. I think that's what you are referring too....

Like I said, there'll be some setup issues and possibly bugs to iron out!

yeah, its the product thats not working for me... i get a SQL error page.

Removed all the foreign currency options and added AUD in (seeing as this is AusLancer)

Also lifted the image limit from 10 to 50.

If that doesn't work try clearing out your browser's cache. Failing that then I will look more in depth into it....

Unfortunately there isn't much I can do about it if people's browsers have cached some of the files which this feature modified during installation....

I went into my control panel, selected internet options, and deleted all cached info.. as Ryan said.

It then all appeared like magic!

I am using Google Chrome, seems to work fine here.

Good luck.

Is it possible to turn off required entries, such as 'where installed', because I added 'myself' and it shows up in the garage review. Now, I am happy to be given such accolades, but it will mean a lot of unwanted entries into the review area.

Most of us will have a majority of mods, done by ourselves.

I'm sure you have had a look, but if you do get it as functional as the MCA garage that would be fantatic. Again with more time Dyno pulls; 1/4 Miles and maybe dB (ICE; exhaust; whatever) with other performance specs being added.

This does save people trawling pages upon pages to find out certain mods.
