1.61 vs 1.69 Gs in the turning test isn't what I'd call a clear cut win for the Skyline. The Skyline was screechin' its head off whereas the Evo seemed near silent, so wonder how hard the Evo was really being pushed. Hell even different tyres could make a mile of difference in terms of the cornering G-forces possible, so woulda been good to whack the same rubber and same drivers in both cars for that test...
But as you say Tryg, where's the the fun of high-speed driving on highways, give me an Evo X and a nice twisty road anyday!! At first I always used to think more power = better, but after seeing how well even a 2L family hack Lancer can wind through a twisty road with some cheapish yet effective suspension, tyre and brake upgrades I know realise that I'd rather go for a car that can hold speed through a corner rather than be a sheer straight line red-light warrior (aka Commodore lol)!
