Handbrake cover install

Hey guys, I have bought a red mono handbrake cover off ebay http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/161726523044 and am having difficulty installing it on my 2011 lancer sx. It did not come with any instructions and I have removed the factory handbrake cover to try and slide the momo cover in it's place but it was too small, not sure if that's cause it doesn't fit or I'm missing out of some installation step...

Probably would have to cut and modify your handbrake to get the new one to fit. I'd personally forget about even trying that, it's gonna be more trouble than than eBay cheapie is worth...
