Hi guys,

Im looking into making my own CAI for my lancer. I have looked and seen INJEN CAI's for like $300 and I just dont feel that I need to spend that much! I would like if you guys could help me out a little bit and maybe give me some advice.

I was thinking of getting suitable piping (maybe intercooler piping), then I would cut out the MAF sensor and relocate it into the intercooler piping with silicon hoses. Would it be possible to make a pod filter fit into the stock airbox? In NSW you need to have your Pod enclosed so I thought to keep it looking relatively stock, I would try fit it into the stock box.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.. Jake :)

Should be around $140 posted, but i would recommend getting a decent pod filter, my K&N one cost $50 so all up is around the $190 mark.. its a cheaper option than the INJEN or AEM.

I recently made mine using a air intake pipe from a VN commodore, and a intake pipe from an old Subaru liberty, with some minor alterations and a few hose clamps, $40 from the wreckers.
