Okay so heres a DIY to do a CAI for a CE lancer. Noticed there weren't really any with pics and it's a bit difficult with all the bolts etc. so here's goes :) good luck !!

This is based off a CAI you can get off eBay for $50 :)

Okay so, you could jack up your car but I just turned my wheel to the left lol. You gotta undo these two bolts which hold on the guard.

Didn't get a pic but there's a silver clamp you gotta unscrew and take off to get the whole air box this off the pipe, you'll figure it out it's easy enough lol.

Then there's a little Phillips head screw in a grommet, easy enough just unscrew it and it will loosen the bottom Half of the guard.

There's two bolts that hold in the casing for the lights n shiz. I don't think they need to unbolt lol but here's a pic.

Now near the engine bay there's a little bolt next to the snorkel thing; unbolt that.

After that just pull out the air box thing, give it a good tug too.

Inside it are two (or three I think) bolts that you have to take off too. Mine were really tight so use some force but not too much coz I jammed my finger doing it lol.

Then there's a bolt in the side that's holding the snorkel on. Unbolt that and pull the snorkel up and off.

This is the tricky part and will take a while. lay right under your car and you'll plainly see the big black box there. There's two bolts holding it in that you gotta undo. Bit tricky and you might get an arm cramp lol.

This one is fairly easy to get off, it's just in front of the wheel once you pull the wheel guard thing back.

This is the hard one right underneath, the one you gotta lay down for.

After that you just pull the black box down with a bit of a tug and it should be off. There is a bolt that's in one of the box's tabs. You can't undo that so when you pull off the box you really gotta pull it so you get it off that screw/bolt.

Then just chuck in your CAI, pull the pipe through underneath so it comes out under your front bumper. Use some zip ties to secure it there coz you don't want it flapping around hitting your wheel lol. You could get some metal mesh too. Just to put on the pipe opening so it stops big ricks going in.

Viola ! You just installed your first CAI. :)
