hey guys i got defected tonight for my car being to loud 96db anyways if anyone has a stock lancer exhaust can u plz let me no its urgent i have 21 days to fix this as ive been sent to epa otherwise the rta is cancelling my rego
 
no joke boys i was going 20under stuck in the city copper told me my exhaust doesnt look standand and told me to follow him to kings cross defect bay i also go fined for halving clear taillights wat a joke i got done by taipan they target "hoons" they think my taillights will kill someone such a joke i was on my way home aswell
 
unfortunately getting done for clear tail lights is completely legal cause they're not ADR approved, kinda sucks, but thats the way the rules are and have been for a while now...as for the exhaust...pfft if the cop told me to follow him lol :p WHOOPS i went down a side street n got lost :p
 
that sucks, u must have been doin something wrong, if not the cops a massive d1khed
 
wow some cops are really F***ed cant believe you cant get defected for taillights lol they are a real killer you could always buy one of those
muffler noise preventers slides in at the tip and reduces the noise

Around the city on a saturday night in Sydney is Fkd with coppers, and if you are near there when a defect bay is set up at kings cross then thats what they do (Find you and make you follow them) in a way of hoping you wont cruise george street and the cross again
Only certain mufflers are able to have silencers attached (The ones with the hole in the top), This one doesn't unfortunately
 
Go to the exhaust shop mate and get them to sort it out. They can always put an insert I side the cannon to make it below the 90db.
 
i think im gonna put a standard muffler on it but i dnt no if they will fit on my 2 inch piping.sadly u cant put a insert/silencer on my cannon it doesnt hav the cut outs 4 it

Thats why go to the exhaust shop and they will weld one up that can fit.

Anything can fit anything!
 
take the nut out and pull the insert out. Easy.

Just explain it with the exhasut shop.

My mates s15 had the same thing cause his parents hated the sound of it at 4am in the morning when he left for work.
 
Sucks man, but yeah down near the beach at the gong they from time to time will setup under the entertainment centre with a dyno,etc and motorbike cops prowl the area for people to pull into the inspection station. You don't have to be doing anything dodgey, they just pick you on the look and sound of your car....
