AusLancer Stickers!!

Hmmm I didn't see any pink vinyl around when I was getting the others done as it's not really a commonly used colour. Although his cutter is also a vinyl printer so theoretically he could just print the pink colour onto it, will be dearer and there's no guarantee of long term colour fastness though...

I've emailed him about what other colours he can do for you...

Personally I'd go either of the following:

*1x large or small sticker on rear window
*2x small side window stickers
*Both of the above - stickers on side and rear windows (this is what I'll be doing)

As for anyone putting stickers on the front windscreen I stress (as I said before) that you should check what the legal requirements in your state/territory are in regards to windscreen stickers. Usually the requirements are in overall dimensions and/or that the wiper blades can't touch it...

i mean above the rear view mirror that way its not blocking ur view

Yeah I know what you mean, but even still I am 99% sure there are rules regarding stickers anywhere on your windscreen so make sure you check it out with RTA, Qld DoT, VIcRoads,etc....

any sticker on cars should be alright as long as it is restricted to about 10% of the windshield, for example this would be roughly the darkened bar that is on the top ~10% of the windshield, i think you can have as big a sticker on the rear window as long as you have 2 functioning mirrors

- i came up with 10% caus this was the new law for window tinting - that the tint can cover 90% of the front windshield - which excludes the top ultra tint bar pretty much

dont take my word for it - but unless your going sticker crazy with the Auslancer / other clubs, you should be fine to put a 'large' sticker on the front, rear , sides etc without any defects being issued for it

I think in Queensland its as long as the wiper blades can't touch it.

are we talking like next to nothing, barely seable
well it covers the whole screen so there is no stop line, so you cant see that its tinted but when in the car it makes all the differance and gets rid of most of the glare from the white dash

Alright guys, talked briefly to the signwriter this arvo but he was busy. Am going to go down tomorrow and see him, but he confirmed he has red, black, blue, white and silver vinyls. Standard colour will be white and any other colour requests will be custom jobs.

Ok cool, good work Ryan.
I'm going for white but I'm just curious, does that mean the other colours cost a bit more? I'm guessing they would lol.

Yup they may cost a little bit more as they will be 'custom' made. On the printer you load the vinyl we'll select 40 and it whirs away on its own, but to do the different colours it's added time having to change the roll of vinyl over and set the machine up for just one or two so they'll be charged accordingly.

Because the machine is also a printer and it uses UV resistant dyes, he can actually print up any grade of colour you want (he has a bunch of cards with hundreds of gradients of colours to choose from) onto white vinyl and the machine can then cut the letters out of it.. If someone gave me a large image of carbon fibre that could even be done.... i haven't enquired on pricing, but these inks arent cheap so you'd possibly be looking at an extra $5 or so per sticker.

At this stage I haven't been able to get a PayPal or Bank Account opened in the AusLancer name because we aren't an incorporated association. Something which will take alot of time and effort to get happening and at the moment I've been strapped for time! For now I've just setup a seperate high-interest account to keep the club funds in. So online bank transfer is the best method, besides PayPal slug a fortune in fees
