What fuel do you use

Im just a bit curious about what fuel everyone uses, from what i can remeber that last time i tried E10, i had problems with the car dying when i put the clutch down, but this could of been something to do with my TB. WIth money being a stretch with only working the 1 job atm, i was wondering what peoples experiences with the differences of E10, 91 and premium, I have a 1.8, not to sure if there will be much differences with the other engines on the range

i dont notice a difference but i never use e10. this week i put premium in the commodore, same *poo* to me except the tank cost me $90

e10 is the new standard unleaded, which sucks cause i hate e10. every servo uses it now :( if u want better stuff, uv gotta use the really exspensive fuel... no thanks.

burns the same, performs the same, lasts just as long... only dif is the $$$ they slap onto it

i used 95/98 octance depending on whats available
iv used e10 before cause the pump was broken, and iv managed to get an extra 60-80km out of a tank when i use 95/98
i just use it cause im an e10 hater
but then again the way i drive doesnt use much fuel (570-600km a tank) i have a really light foot

I stick to Shell V-Power usually. Sometimes will get BP Ultimate if I am near one of their servos that isn't a complete rip off!!

Personally I find that my CJ runs a bit better on V-Power compared to Vortex 98.

Meh, difference between premium and E10 is marginal in the long run really and is slightly offset by the better mileage you get on it anyway....

funny, I have monitored this via iPhone gadgets for nearly a year, I get only 30km more on 98 RON premium...

But, I save $11 per fill using the e10 94 RON...

I am sure there are benefits, but $44/month or more is nicer in my pocket..

To each their own, but I have noticed very little difference in 0-400m runs (using G Tac Pro and Dynolicious) between the two fuels many months apart...

98 oct, generally vortex or Vpower, i never go e10 now, i find e10 *fudge*ed up my car when i used to use it
+ e10 gives me 400Km's a tank whereas 98 will give me 550kms, and a tiny bit extra power

Yeah well once you take into account the savings in fuel for me it's a mere matter of like $3.5/week between E10 and V-Power. So what's that the price of 1 can of Energy Drink a week or a beer? I ain't really too fussed...

Then supposedly its better for the engine so yeah not too worried... Although the ethanol in E10 probably does a good job at keeping the fuel lines, injectors, etc all clean!

I used to use normal unleaded when I first got the CJ but now I use V-Power or BP Ultimate... car gets way more kms out of it I think and runs better! Vortex 98 is not as good though, dont bother with caltex!

I generally stick to Shell V-Power to... but then I work at Coles and do all my shopping at Coles (hello $0.06/lt off every time I fill) I typically go through a tank every 2 weeks as well - unless I do a cruise up to sydney but that's rarely more then once a month. 600+ km/tank

98 premium :)

You kidding right? On the 1.5L I would chuck in the cheapest fuel I could find. Not worth anymore $$$$

As with myself, I only use BP ultimate.

Has E85 been put on the pump yet?

Round here E10 is not the "standard" most servoes still only sell it at one or 2 pumps so the line is a mile long.

ohrly? i find vortex works better in my ce than anything else, alot better actually, if i run BP ultimate my car chucks the *poo*s, V-power is okay, had no problems with it but i get average feul economy
guess its each car to their own, and the BP near me is old, so it has old fuel tanks holding the Ultimate, whereas the caltex is brand new, so it could well eb a case of age

is there any actual scientific documentation on any of these petrolz to say which is best or if they are all just the same?
