I've been looking at a few build threads and something that Isn't really mentioned is whether anybody considered building up their new engine (Bore, stroke, P&P, forgies, etc) before dropping it in.

What is the greatest engine transplant for the CE lancer? 4G63T? 6A12M? 6A13TT? Personally I plan on doing a 6A12M conversion once I've found my new project CE, but a few people have done 6A13TT and 4G63T (from Evos IV-VI) conversions with great success, solid kWatw figures and 1/4 mile times.
So, For arguments sake:
- it's a coupe
- keeping FWD (AWD is great, but +250kg? *fudge* that I want to go fast!)
- $20k to spend on engine
- Could be N/A, could be Single Turbo. You decide.
- all options come with AEM engine management.
Few final notes. I do not have $20k to throw away so don't ask me when the build is coming, hahaha. If your wondering why I wrote this thread, just think of it as a way to get the creative juices flowing. No need for negative comments. Don't like the post, don't comment. Simple as that. I'm still planning on doing a 6A12M conversion in the future simply because I have access to many FTO & CE bits where I live. Who knows? If it turns out I can turn a 1.5L into a turbocharged 2.4L stroked mivec, then this thread will be worth its weight in gold.
