White turbo Lancer v2.0

That'd be the one. Still on my p's atm but eventually when im off and have another car im thinking of turboing this one. Just looking around atm and sussing out whats involved in a turbo build

A lot of work is needed, but it’s achievable. I did drive the turbo lancers for 3 years of my P’s and my only car, I do recommend another car lol
@Peter Jowett if you saw my car near Bridgestone, if it was at night, would have been getting a kebab

November 3rd 2021 Update

Had another track day a few weeks ago, 185km/h once again down the straight almost all laps, scary but fun, oil return line from the turbo split due to it sitting close the exhaust. Had to drive to Wangaratta (not in my car though lol) to get new hoses and fit the new hose in the garage. Dumped oil all over the exhaust, bottom of the car, on the track and in the garage

Got black flagged from the smoke coming from the car.

New Anti Lift lower control bushes make a HUGE difference with Corning,
Picked up a rear washer bottle from an EVO 6 for $40, will be wired and plumbed to be used as an intercooler spray, because why not :)

Test fitted, making a bracket to mount it properly, got some spare boot lining to cut out to fit the washer bottle and make the space for the rear strut brace look better, photos of that to come

February 9th 2022 Update!

Been awhile

New year more problems with the car lol
Engine swap finished. 7ish hours in a hot shed with 1 person, many choice words were said but i it got done

New HD clutch is great but taking awhile to learn the release points,
Got a lot of comments from people at a car show which was, different to say the least
Got a new 2.5” dump pipe and front pipe because some numb-nut! put the oil return line in the wrong spot which caused the old pipe not to fit :tearsofjoy:

Car go brrrrrr
Got a new Overflow bottle from Japan, took 1 week sent from Japan to arrive at my house. :hushed:

Had these guys at the wreckers look at me weird watching me put a gearbox and side skirts in the boot of the car lol
More Updates to come when I get the PC fixed!

Wow, No update since February, I have been lazy :hushed:
No real big updates honestly, Fixed my CEL issue I had. New timing belt kit installed
I did another track day at Winton Raceway, New time is 1:43:98, Which I am happy with, Few spin outs once again because of overdriving the car around corners, As you Do.

Late in the day, I was getting tired, lost focus, Not ideal NGL.
As I have moved now, Really close to PT, I now drive the car much less that what I did, makes it more enjoyable to drive (unless its cold start)

So turns out a few weeks ago my A/C compressor stopped working on the car, Not bad with 431k kms lol
Got a new Compressor installed, Drier, seals, So the A/C works great now.

As for more upgrades/mods, Not sure yet, I have a small list, But unsure if ill go ahead with them yet

Been awhile. Car still lives on. Moved recently. Left the door slightly ajar for 3 weeks. Little light in the dash killed the battery. Finally got a new exhaust on the car, properly done 3" stainless steel mandrel bent. Ignore the dodge work. No affect to the car and welded up some support bars and brackets so it's secure once again lol. Done 800ish KMs and no issues!

Looks nice AF. Got a few new mods done on the car. Some Evo 6 stuff. And a new project I finished on it. That came with Evo's that no Lancer ce coupes had. Complete wank factor but it works lol.
More pics to come soon. When I get back on the PC :p

Nice looking exhaust.
Am I seeing things or is your exhaust running down the centre of the car?
How did you manage to do that?

Hi
The car still lives, no real updates on the white, car, it occasionally starts and sometimes drives.
I discovered because it gets hot and I use a lot of fuel it can shoot flames lol
Nice seeing at night because it lights up the road behind me and people get scared. Should be careful though, HP might not like seeing flames out of the exhaust of a car

Also, I bought a 2004 Magna TL AWD, because I needed a family car and something that is way more reliable and easier to drive, and its fantastic, comfortable, has factory cruise control (Which is something I missed having). I have done a few small changes to it, added Verada front courtesy lights, and rear interior courtesy lights. Got the windows tinted on it now, drove up to NSW and back with it, and had no issues, and it is capable of towing the lancer to Winton Raceway and back, which is 700kms total for me and it had no issues.

Went up to Winton Raceway a few months back, enjoying the comfort and being able to tow instead of driving the "Racecar" 700kms to the track"
Went up with a fellow 1.8L Turbo Mirage @miragee .As usual, I had to many issues and didn't get to drive the car much, I did smoke the tyres out of the exit lane on the track, foot to the floor in second spins ahaha

I am very happy with the Magna, only issue is the fuel usage is not to good , and doesn't get alot of kms per tank, but its better than the Lancer
Also, life update, less than 40 days until I am a dad for the first time, super excited and anxious at the same time.
Enjoy the "Update" :)

Shame about the car problems. Was a great day and it's always fun racing with you, especially down the main straight of Winton.

Going foot to the floor from the end corner side by side and hitting 180kms + on the straight and braking near the 100m mark next to one another while looking like we are not "Racing" each other is fun.

Not sure, could be almost the same. We run the same turbo, injectors, almost the same tune. Difference is Mine runs on E85, and a few other "Power" mods on mine. Both running 10psi.
@miragee Mirage is very stripped back in the interior, No AC, Relocated PS pump, Rear battery, my lancer has alot of performance plastic on it and full interior, AC PS, I believe his Mirage is 100KG lighter than the Lancer

Agree with Steve99. His car is slightly heavier but he has a couple of extra mods.
This makes our cars very close together and makes for fun close racing.
We manage to beat one another on the straight.
It seems the one who handles the last corner best, gets the edge.
