Clutches for 4G69

I have put my CH into hybernation for the past few months due to wanting to spend money on a potentually fast NA CE coupe that and also the cost of having to replace the clutch...best price I have found for a heavy duty clutch is $700 and upwards this is in Australia

In the US there is a HD clutch made by ACT I can get this delivered to my house in 14 days for only $400

Not sure if anyone else has had this same problem with finding a cheap awesome quality clutch for there car, would be interested in hearing as to what brand and price others have paid

also anyone know much about the quality of the ACT

I got my exedy hd clutch for the 4g69 for 550 or so delivered through a mates work, can't fault it at all. nice grab, takes a fair beating. Struggled to find a decently priced unit when mine died.

im not sure if its ACT clutches that the evo guys use but get locked out of gears or another brand.

ed: yep. apparenty the act clutches lock out gears.

hmm not liking the sound of that getting locked out of gears - I am guessing that the clutch is not engaging correctly at higher rpm?

I currently have an xtreme HD clutch and it is great I love it but it has unfortunately died I think I could nurse it to a workshop for them to install (yeah I know I should do it myself but honestly I am over engine work atm) $550 is a really good price... how much of a nice mate is he
