Ch mods

Hey guys new to auslancer, I own a 2006 CH lancer with the 4g69 looking to start modding for slight power upgrades (without turbocharging) is my daily drive so can't go to crazy. So far only has pedders suspension and cold air intake. Where is the best place to start iv been looking at bigger throttlebody and extractors but unsure if it's worth the money at the moment or whether I'm better off getting it tuned? Any comments will be appreciated thanks guys :D

get some nice stainless steel extractors from RPW or ebay
get your exhaust done to 2.5" mandrel bent with a good muffler (eg. magnaflow)
make sure your cold air intake is a good one and getting 100% fresh air
then get a flash tune after all that is done

other things to look at doing are upgraded rear swaybar, lighter wheels, slotted rotors and good pads

Ok thanks yer I have been looking for a thicker rear sway bar but can only seem to find an 18 mm which is only 3 mm thicker than stock and unsure if will make any noticeable difference. Will upload photo soon of my car

There are a few things you can do to make the car work that little bit better and I am speaking from experience from my own car,

suspenssion is your first mod - coilovers work best I have D2 on mine and they work really well not had any problems but talk to Hens on here I think he now sells BC whish are also very good, definately get a font strut bar - look at the EVO 7, 8, or 9 you may want to cut the 3rd point off for better clearances but the EVO ones fit so any brand that states that it fits EVO will be good
Rear sway bar 18mm is enough
Get a short shifter (RPW) they actually have the best ones.
Throttle body you will need to look at the US for these as they are not readily available here in Australia look at the mitsubishi Eclipse V6 these are a direct fit and no problems approx $150 plus postage
undercrank pulley also from the US nice little mod that makes things work that little bit better
a nice short Ram intake Injen
RPW 44mm extractors are the better ones to have with a 21/2" exhaust

As for a reflash not possible here - well it is but very few people can do it to our cars I would look at a haltech interceptor as a lot of tuners can tune and retune if nessicary and plenty of back up from Haltech australia as they helped with the inital programming of the car/interceptor with mos of these mods you should be looking at 140hp minus a tune which will get you an extra 15hp

What sort of links do you need... We're to buy eBay or any of the eclipse forums or evolutionm. How to install is easy unplug unbolt then do reverse ...

the crank pulley is the pulley that drives the accessory belt, giving power to the aircon, alternator, etc. Replacing the pulley with a smaller/lighter unit and generally the belt due to the smaller pulley size will take away some of the engine "leech" from the cars peripherals, giving you more power to the wheels. gains of up to 10% can occur.
It's a fairly easy mod to do, something I was considering with my CH.
I've seen a couple of units around to suit the 4g69

Oh ok cool so is the best place to find these eBay? And does the smaller pulley come with the smaller belt in like a kit?

ebay is very swing and miss. I would personally look for a kit with a belt included to match, otherwise it could be a bit of an experiment finding a suiting one. I know RRM sell one, but the postage worked out to be a lot to australia, perhaps there's a way to do it cheaper.

Ok so now that I've had a look at RRM they have quite a range as before I was purely going off rpw so the 2.4l ralliart in America is the same as my 4g69? Also any other good online shops I should be looking at?

the lancer ch ralliart 2.4 in america is a 4g69, essentially the same car as our 2.4 ch, tuned slightly differently, but not substantially. I would assume all parts would cross over exactly the same except perhaps ecu/tuning tools.
The mitsubishi outlander is also a 4g69 but the exhaust manifold and piping is different, and a lot of those parts don't interchange
