You can shave 10 thou from the head without worrying about the valve clearance.
You can drop the pulley without moving the engine height, but I’d strongly recommend releasing the engine mount and lowering the engine on a trolley jack. Makes life easier.
If you’re already looking at decent tyres, I’d take SupaNova’s advice and jump to a near track level tyre. 195 would be the perfect width for starting with.
With the valve springs aswell, obviously you need the upgraded ones with a wild cam, but you will notice a drop in the lower end purely from the springs. It does take a toll on the valve train all the extra drag.
