Hello from Sydney.
I've recently purchased a 1994 CC Lancer Hatchback complete with an Orion 1.5 carby and 5 speed manual.
It's a basic GL model with no air-con, no power steering and no power windows (Great for weight reduction)
Whilst it does need a bit of body work (Which I plan on doing myself) It is straight overall and has only travelled 156,000 odd kms.
The clutch will need doing in another 10-20 thousand, and even though the engine feels peppy, it lacks any sort of decent power.
Now me being a piston head from way back was thinking of eventually tossing the old clunker engine and fitting something with a bit more go.
The dilemma is that since this configuration is the old East West style, and the later models are West East, what are my options?
Thank you all in advance.
