Sub/amp wiring help

I just got my headunit installed with a little fiddling and some iso cable but now I wanna put my sub in.

Had a check for gromets in the fire wall and all look to small to fit my cable ? are there any good ones people on here used?

ive tried a bunch of times to find a good way thru the firewall...no success. i installed my sub/amp aswell as some other things by routing wires thru the front left and right fenders, which comes out at near the hinges of the front door, and routing it into the dash/flooring from there. I just put some black loom over the red sub power wire so its barely noticable and doesnt obstruct the motion of the door at all.

In the engine bay, the gap is not far behind the front shock nuts.

Worth a thought, if ya cant find any grommets to punch thru.

The hack way...

I was at the wreckers today, finally found one that ran the power lead thru a hole just to right of the accelerator about 20-30 cm above the pedal. It comes out just behind the shock mount. (This would be the better way to do it)

My set up

Then through this hole

Then coming from under the dash

Then under the carpet, under the back seat then through to the boot

^So thats my setup, battery to circuit breaker to that hold (i know its hard to see in the photos, really hard to photograph) then the last is it coming thru into the passenger footwell, just under the carpet, where its then routed down the cable runs under the scuff plates down the side of the car to the boot

wasnt too bad. took the intake out and it opened up the area a wee bit, then we tied some thin bungee cord to the power cabe. much easier to fit thru the grommet, the just slowly pulled, and the extra force of the bungee helped it come thru perfectly.

No AC so my 0 gauge goes through thw one on the forewall below the main loom. If you have AC just slit/drill a hole through the main grommet, for the love of god don't hit wires, and fo from there.

Jesus havnt been on here cause of work and its slammed with comments. Yeah I finally got it through that really low grommet. It rubber was so think that wear I cut sort of morphed back together making it hard to re find haha. 3 days on though I think a fuse has blown so a bit *poo*ty as I havnt been able to check all the wires so back to the start again haha

Thanks for all the help !!

I'm gonna be wiring my amp in this week sometime just wondering the best way to get the wires through to the boot cause my rear seat doesn't fold down.

I couldnt find any of those grommets they spoke about above, and i ran mine through the fender and it was alot easier than trying to find the grommet

you can remove the rear seat and door sill trims and squeeze the wires underneath them all the way to the front :)

Woo im no longer alone in using the fender route!!! also, if you have some black, roughly 1cm wiring loom, put that over the section of wire that is at the doors hinge....looks like it came from the factory like that :D

Cheers bro. How hards the seat to remove? No way of getting it through without taking the seat out?

Um the bottom litterally lifts out, and you can actually feed the cable under the back of it, there is a little gap where you can slip the cables though... Give me a minute and ill go take some photos :D
