Mechanical issues/questions

About 5 years ago I took mine to Pedders and they gave me a list of parts needing replacing 'urgently', more than the value of the car at the time. Still have not replaced anything on their list and surprisingly it's still running.

I do need some bushes replaced now, according to the mechanic that found my CV problem. I plan to do that when I upgrade the read brakes.

I agree it's still good to see what work might need doing and to find out what could be causing the sounds, but don't rely on Pedders or any one shop as they are usually in it for the money. The more time they spend on your car the more money they make.
 
Yea i see what you guys mean. Ill take it in to a shop on the asap, just really woke up so turns out todays was not as productive as i would have liked :/ meh, always tomorrow!
 
i hate cv joints. hate them. just buy a new axle. do not even bother phucking around with cv joints. not worth it. clicking is the cv joint. the squeak thats normal with lancers my rears squeaked a bit. but not noticably
 
Hey man if u havnt had it fixed yet i had a mate who had similar clicking which got worse as he accelerated while in a turn and was told it was a thrust bearing i understand there might b another name for it these days but it wasnt mentioned as i know its name so i said it hope it helps
