Interior light help?

Hi guys. I recently bought a 04 vrx lancer.
It has got the reading lights in the front up near the rear vision mirror but no interior light in the centre of the roof lining.

It has got a sun roof so wondering if there isn't meant to be a light in the centre or if its been removed when the sunroof has been fitted.

I want to put some lights in the centre or some kind of rear reading lights near the roof handles. ?? Is this an easy install??

Hi.

If it's a factory sunroof then don't worry too much about it. I actually retro-fitted a front map light which most CHs don't have (but I already had the centre one).

Installing lights on the roof lining is simple stuff but it takes time cause whole roof lining must be removed. Two options:
1. It can function like the centre usually does, that is, dimming when door is open/closed
2. It can function with an on/off switch only

Both ways; wire the positive and negative (controls dimming) wires of the new light to the front light's wiring.
REMEMBER to disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid a short in the ETACs (the ECU that controls the interior dimming amongst other things). I learnt the hard way.
