ECU for CH 2.4L

I cant find my original build thread so here is a tried and tested and proven build on a 4G69
RPW extractors are the best you can get 41mm tudes are very good for mild - I did prefer the 44mm personally
21/2"exhaust all the way through with a 100 cell cat and a Lukey Ultra flow muffler
65mm Throttle body - these are only obtained from the US from the Mitsubishi Eclipse running the V6 engine 6G75? dont think for a moment that the Australian version will work because it does not. you will need to find a friend on the US forums to get one for you be prepared to pay $150US to buy and then another $50 for postage.
look for a Injen intake pipe short is better K&N pod
Look for a Lightened Undercrank pulley and matching timing belt - these work very well - it help eliminate the jerkiness found in these cars and throttle response is much improved. not sure if RPW have these but look again to the US again allow $250USD to buy and ship
Forget about injectors and fuel pump our factory ones do the job...
ECU yeah sure when you have money to burn and think that you want a new camshaft then get a new one I think the best one for the job is a Haltech
Interceptor probably pick these up second hand. Look at coilovers, nothing stupid hard just something that will lower your centre of gravity and reduce the Ï'm driving a tug boat" feel
If you reset your ecu correctly you will not have issues with CEL and the car going into limp mode.
with these few mods I got mine on the quarter mile from factory stock at nearly 16sec down to 15.4sec and the HP jumped up to 148hpatw
there are plenty of my dyno sheets floating around on the internet.

I have a 4G69. I've bought my entire exhaust set up off of RPW - 44mm headers, hi-flo cat, downpipe, 2 1/2" exhaust
Been thinking of piggybacking, but unfortunately got quoted $3500 for installation and tuning of Haltech interceptor. I'm a nob at EMS stuff but I think this price is a little high. Correct me if I'm wrong?
Apparently, the 2.4L Lancer are tricky to work with, which was the reason given by the tuner. Can anyone advice on this matter. Thanks.

Why bother tuning it? Unless you're making drastic changes (i.e. forced induction or at least a cam) then a tune won't net you a whole lot of gains.
