Interior Paint - Anyone know the code for the dark grey interior plastic colour?

HI,

Ive just got a console section with the lid (which is a bit faded) and was wondering if anyone knew what the paint code/colour was for interior plastic before I go out and take a guess.
placard on the firewall says the trim is P3.

Yikes, not sure of the exact colour, that being said, should you be unable to find it, you could always take a piece of unfaded trim like a doorcard or something similar in to be colour matched at somewhere like inspirations paint. Won't be 100% due to the ripples in the plastic, but could get you over the line without taking a guess on some off-the-shelf paint.

I went to an auto one down the road from me and they said a plastic primer and they can make the paint. I eyeballed a fairly close match off one of their akzo nobel colour books against an unfaded area of the trim but just wanted to see if anyone KNEW before I guessed! If I do end up finding a close match I'll post up the code etc. might be useful to some others on here.

I believe the interior plastics is the factory dyed grey, and isnt exactly a "colour", and the trim code on the firewall is what level of trim and if its painted ("painted" meaning factory plastics dyed black).
Its dyed, because if it was factory painted you would see it chip off and have other colours under the paint. On that same note, if you repaint it, you need to do a proper job of it, as it can chip and you'll see the faded grey under it

Yes, the plastics are pigmented, some components in some other make/model cars were also painted and there would be a paint code to match each plastic colour. Looks like I will have to eyeball it and find something close. thanks for the replies and help. I've always liked these cars, I didnt know they had such a fan base.

for anyone else needing to do this,

paint code in the Akzo Nobel colour book is 499G2 Grey. came up as quite a good match to the dark grey plastic trim. My console lid came up well.
