This is on behalf of the whole AusLancer Team, and has been reviewed and revised by the Admins and Moderators.

The point of this, is to remind everyone that we are a community. We are a dysfunctional family, where we all don't show the same views, opinions, etc, but we all have the one thing in common that we love lancers.

The Admins/Mods have been dealing with scuffs and issues between members in AusLancer for a while now. It started with the old regulars being rude, short and unhelpful to new members, then jump forward to the Rice Vs Non-Rice issue (which we feel was successfully resolved) and now we have issues with user's trash-talking sponsors and promoting their competitors.

It Needs To Stop Now Please! This goes for everyone from the Newest of new members, to the Premiums, to the Sponsors to the Admins and Moderators.

It was brought to our attention several weeks back that a competitor of one of our sponsors was accessing the site under an alias and using the account to solicit his goods and services to other members over PM. Upon being confronted with this accusation the user instead chose to carry on like a fool, still pretend to be someone else and also threaten legal action against us. It was then by the decision of the Admins and Moderators that the user was to be banned permanently from the forum. It is our duty to our sponsors that we protect the right that they have to sell and advertise on AusLancer and selling via PM on AusLancer, blatantly plugging and talking up competition who is not a paying Sponsor of course is going to attract our attention.

Everyone is entitled to Opinion (something that has been said quite a bit now) and this includes everyone including Mods and Admins which according to some users they can't have, and that people shouldn't get all up in arms over it. If you are that defensive over your build, your opinion, whatever, don't share it then if you're just going to start abusing people, and go off ya nut.

We aren't going to be tolerant any more on users who play up. We have banned users for less in the past, and recently we have been extremely lenient over several issues.

Finally, in the end it is the Admins who run this forum and as much as we try to listen to the feedback of members when making decisions, we end up making the final decision on matters. What I think many also fail to see is amount of work that the admins and moderators put in behind the scenes to keep the forum up and running in the interest of helping out the community as a whole and none of which we are paid for doing. After all this forum has always and will always only aim to raise enough funds (through the support from our sponsors and premium members) to cover the running costs, not to make a profit and also not through forcing people to pay in order to access information on the site.

As a community we do not want these issues to continue as it is not only affecting the internal quality of AusLancer but affects our reputation to external parties and benefits nobody.

Skippy: I'd just like to add, in the new year we will hopefully be changing from the current phpbb format to hopefully a vBulletin (once they finally officially release version 5 from Beta phase) format. It will allow better mods, mobile format support, more features and all current topics and users data are easily transferred. Just a headsup.

Do you accept payment in rice? Because we could have soooo much room for activities!

If its too long for anyone:

Please avoid arguing with people regarding sponsors and who's got the best builds/mods/schlong & just let some of the stupid things that others say slide.

I believe that Auslancer is probably one of the very last active, English-speaking Lancer/Mirage forums around. Im sure no user (and certainly no mod or admin) wants to ruin it for others or for the future members. One day perhaps 5, 10 or 15 years or more down the track, people WILL look up these cars, and see our builds and see what we've done. You want the car to be remembered as something to be at least proud of, and you as the user/driver to be a decent bloke/blokette you want to talk to; not as an abusive tosspot; dont let a sh!tfight online ruin that.

^^ You spelt Bloke wrong, plus your grammer sux... (also there are some bloke-etts here with nice car)

Just saying :p

I just want to start off by saying that I've been around cars and the guys that mod them for the better part of almost two decades.
I've seen this before, will probably see it again, I can only offer some of you(the majority) younger guys a bit of what I know, take it how you want.

What I am commenting on is as directly above and I don't think we need to beat around the bush and be coy about who is involved as far as LLT and HYP are concerned.
Bare in mind, LLT and what ever happened on MLGA, ect was before my time, so I can only put the pieces together as I have seen them.
I've never had any dealings with him, So I'll refrain from commenting and further about his workmanship or ethic, Only caution in the wind.

While I really am a fan of HYP's car, Unfortunately I'm not exactly a fan of the man who owns it after the serving he dished out on me, It went nothing like I thought it would.
But he obviously lacks the maturity to deal with things in a reasonable matter, which I find unfortunate, Would be great to see the man behind it as good as the build and envied.
HYP obviously chose a friend(LLT) to work on his car, we are all free to choose who we want to do work for us and thats fine, you reap that what you sow.
I can understand HYP wanting to stick up for his friend, I think we all would and its an admirable trait.

It's pretty plain to me that LLT and HENS are just like any other business's have had customers who both receive good and bad feedback from people, Unfortunately the bad shouts louder than the good.
You get that with any business because you cant please and satisfy everyone's needs and wants, So you just need to accept that a life thing.

Just as an example, A mate I lost contact with several years ago, he is a well known engine builder, mostly of the V8 variety.
His engines have won Summernats burnout comps, he own personal entry has been a finalist more than once at the Summernats,
I've seen his engines get mentions in all sorts of magazines, but when I hear people talk, most of what I hear is negative feedback... Then the above achievements are quickly forgotten.
Unfortunately its the nature of the beast, It's like a virus and stamps out all that is good.

As far and Henry is concerned, Well all I can say is that he has so far been a pleasure to deal with thus far.
He's very knowledgeable and offers great insight, even if I'm left confused by the explosion of detail sometimes ;)

So in summary:
HYP, I'm staying away from, I'd be happy to never go to another AL meet if he's there I'd rather not antagonise the guy in real life if here is any indication of his lack of control.
Not that I'm scared of him, I just dont need the drama and there are scarier things than a guy from Sydney with a short temper.
LLT, I accept that like anyone else he's made mistakes and pays for it here and there.

The rest of us, well... Be mindful, have fun and try not to hurt people, there's a point where it can be taken too far, know the line.
At the end of the day, your hurting the greater AL community with the petty crap that doesn't achieve anything.

Sorry for the rant, I had to get it out! There wasnt really an appropriate place to voice it before now.

I feel left out, i want to right a novel here too..................but CBF

I enjoy the abuse lol. Puts people in perspective with how much respect they actually deserve. As for the sponsor and his competition, actions speak louder than words, hence why one is a sponsor and has much respect where as the other i have not delt with, but imo should be given a fairer go to maybe be respected.

I admit i trashed someone on this forum once but i felt like a d*ck if u dont like a mod someone did then do do it to ur own... If u dont like a seller someone bought stuff from dont buy ur stuff there... Why kick and scream? U look like a fool

It is good to see thatthe club has good admin people looking after the interest of the club and the forum , I have been involved with another club and they over administered the runningg of it to such an extent that the club finally closed down.

I do believe that everyone is entitled to vent there opinions about someone or something but once that opinon has been vented that should be the end of the rant as all it ends up doing in the end is making ou look like you are bored and have nothing nice or positive to say about anything... mabe the like button on the FB pages can be adapted to here for each comment that is made especially in regards to parts eg, if someone puts 22" rims on a car and I dont like I would sooner hit the dislike button than make a negetive comment. Now this is not saying that everything on here should be all nice pretty comments because that would be plain boring...

so there is my 2C worth admins keep up the great job.

we have a like button... just not a dislike button. neither does facebook.. not sure why. they'd come in handy instead of writing a negative comment
