4g69 mounts for a CE Coupe

So I'm fitting a 4G69 to my CE coupe. I have the Evo 4 engine mount, the stock 4G69 trans mount, the 4G93 rear roll stop and the 4G93 front roll stop.

I have found the engine sits a lot lower in the engine bay. I have the engine mount and trans mount tight but the 2 roll stops are sitting to low and if I tighten them the weight of the engine will be on the roll stops and not the engine and trans mount.

I have asked on the Facebook group and people side they had modified some of the mounts and the aftermarket Evo 4 mounts are no good. But no one got back to me with Photos of how to fix or modify the mounts.

Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

There’s probably info somewhere on here; but have you though about putting spacers between the roll
Stop bracket? Or will it sit too low for your liking?
Otherwise I’d suggest looking at the Mightycarmods videos on their 4g69 build

Try a plate to lift the engine mount and elongate the trans mount holes.

Or you could elongate both holes on the roll stop mounts.

Info on the mounts is “secret” within reason, due to particular workshops attempting to keep the information to themselves. I’ve even seen people spreading the wrong info internationally…

Your drivers side mount, is that a factory evo 4 or aftermarket? And is the 4g93 trans mount worn or new and is it aftermarket or factory?

MCM put a alloy plate in the front roll stop but I'm not sure what they did with the back one, but that is what I'm leaning towards

Well I will be letting every one know how mine works or doesn't work lol.

The Evo mount is aftermarket.

The trans mount is the one off the 4G69.

I was thinking of getting a CM of the engine mount machined off of the bottom of the mount. That will lift the engine up.

im of the belief theres two methods. both have their challenges.

1) stock evo 4-6 driver side an a CH gearbox mount means the engine sits lower so you need some 10ish mm thk alum plate spacers to space down the cross member.

2) CE gearbox mount and a machined down evo8 mount, this mean the engine sits a pinch higher and allows the use of stock cross member/roll stoppers etc.

(this is just info i have absorbed...i havent looked at a 2.4L swap in person or even looked into it too much myself)

Digging up a thread from the dead...

Can anyone confirm if I need to use the original engine mount brackets off the 4G15 gearbox when swapping in the 4G69?
Ie. I plan to use the 4G15 front & rear roll stop mounts and pass side mount, with a Evo 5 drivers mount.
Do I leave the 4G69 mount brackets on the box, or swap them for the 4G15 ones?

Thanks!
