Hot tip, We actually used piston and rods from a cupra formentor. They are 88mm so you will need to have a machine shop bore the block.

by chance do you have the part numbers of the rods and pistons also what engine in the cupra formentor were they out of, im assuming the 2L, did anything else need to be done?
 
Hmmm... to bore out an already 1mm bored out 4G63 block (i.e. 4G69) another 1mm to fit 88mm pistons might not be leaving much metal in bore thickness and cylinder separation. The 4G69 already likes to blow the head gasket between cylinders.
Guess you can always put the metal back on if it all turns pear shaped...... not!
Funny how the trail goes cold when someone asks for the actual details like part numbers etc.
