05 VRX stock sway bars. Worth upgrading?

Hi all!
Very new to the Lancer scene, so I'm admitting to be a total noob here. But I've had my little yellow VRX for a while now and was thinking of doing some mild upgrades.
I've heard Whiteline sway bars are the go and was wondering if anyone has upgraded the stock VRX ones? And is it worth it?
Thanks!

I put a whiteline rear sway bar in my VRX. Made a substantial difference - I’d thoroughly recommend it. I haven’t had the need to upgrade the front yet.

still using vrx strut bar in the front and no rear strut bar

I think that only the cg/ch Vrx Lancers have a factory rear bar (also wagons) , other models do not have them until later on in the model run of the ch.

White line are a good product , but I don’t think they make a fitting kit but supply only a direct replacement bar, that is assuming that you have a factory Vrx spec.

If not this mob below makes a fitting kit you can purchase, Part # 41603C (bracket) (4) Part# 41698 (bolt) (4) Part #41697C (nut)

As Sdate42 said, rear sway bar makes big difference, I also didn’t feel the need to change factory front bar, if you choose the correct strut/coil combo together with the factory strut brace bar, all should be good.

Thanks so much for the info guys!!

Mine has the factory rear and front sway bars and the red front strut brace. I've had Pedders adjustable coilovers put in it so from the sounds of it, my front should be all good?

I've seen the replacement bar available on the Whiteline site (https://www.whiteline.com.au/product_detail4.php?part_number=BMR79&sq=111529) so I'm assuming this is the right bit for a straight swap.

Also, 15% off with the MCM15 code at the moment... Interesting!

You’ll need the sway bar and new D bushes and new brackets. That link you sent is all inclusive.

While you’re there, get new end links too. The rears tend to rust, and the nut/link might round off during removal. You dont need the whiteline ones, I’ve used rubber ones from wasp, moog and oem all with similar results. (I don’t like poly bushes where you dont need them)

Also I believe the pedders coilovers are re-branded BC’s. Could you post up some pictures of them when you get a chance, it’s something I’d love to be able to confirm.

I had set of XA pedders s/h front and rear, also a set new BC coilovers, as far as I can remember in my old age is that external parts interchangeable. Series 1 and series 2 coilovers were different (upgraded) Then internal dampening rate may be slightly customised compared to BC, also pedders use their own coil springs on the XA coilovers, but pedders have limited spring rate options available. Good new is BC have a much better range of coil spring rates available at varying spring rates to further customise your pedders coilovers.
The rears have differences between the two, more thread adj and valve adjustment mechanism in series 1 vs series 2
The fronts are a different story, almost identical as to if the internal dampening is the same in both, you would need to put them both on a shock Dyno across the dampening range and check graph printed result, most of the avg to good quality coilovers come from the same factory in Taiwan, indonesia but are tweaked to suit different companies requirements, sometimes it’s what’s inside that counts.
I purchased my spares for my front pedders from BC racing, was cheaper as well
At the end of the day BC racing are absolutely comparable to the pedders XA , the difference is minor and better value purchase price, as too which are the better coilovers, I like BC as they let me customise my spring rate on purchase, whereas pedders said no, take it as is ?!,!
Also lots of pedders replacement shocks are rebranded Monroe units as well, painted a nice red of course.

So I got some snaps (bit hard with the wheels on, but they're not coming off any time soon) but they're quite big pics so they're on Imgur.

Don't know if that's very helpful though!
(I do know that Pedders weren't exactly the best to deal with though... kinda rude.)

Also, just to confirm, this is what end links are, yeah?

(I know they won't fit, but pic for reference)
