wildcat 297 headers

Do wildcat 297 headers bolt up to the stock exhaust on a 4g69 in a ch lancer?
I have the cat in the manifold and some sellers say they the wildcat 297 headers/extractors dont suit that setup, just wondering if its because you are removing a cat from the equation,if they physically fit that would be a bonus.
I have emailed genie/wildcat no reply yet, also did a search here but didnt find anything.
cheers

Other than RPW there really isn't many options sadly mate. I'm in the same boat. Some ZF outlanders have decatted headers but good luck finding them. LLT Racing make custom headers for the 69 that are tuned, but I believe that they require the care to be present for fabrication. I think I remember seeing some options a while back on the US ebay. Otherwise hurricane can be used, but will require welding and a bend to bolt up to the receiving pipe and cat underneath.

Thanks for the reply.
Rpw is just too pricy for me.
I’ve read about guys punching out the cat in the us with some minor success apparently ….
One cat is enough on a 115kw 4 banger imo.
No exhausts available for the wagon either.

Finally worked out why nobody makes extractors for my motor....
Should have called it the 4g69.5,the motor nobody ever wanted!
What a stupid idea, making one exhaust port look like a big headed sperm,im guessing for some stupid emission control purpose, what the hell were they thinking!
I dont see why nobody ever made extractors with a flat flange welded to number 4 pipe that could seal up the emission groove in the head from exhaust port 4,could use a factory style exhaust flange gasket, maybe it was way too hard?
Some bits for this car are just hard to find, fuel pump/filter assembly for example, what an awkward inbetween model i just purchased.
Punching out the first cat, fitting a cel eliminator on the rear 02 sensor and getting a 2.25 hotdog for the rear, thats my custom exhaust, its the best i can do,tbh the rest of the exhaust looks pretty decent apart from the rear muffler.
With that and the inherent and well known factory tune problems causing a dead spot when taking off,i would never buy another 2007 lancer wagon, apparently the sedans dont have the same issues and go like a rocket:astonished:
Never had any issues with my 2010 lancer activ or 2015 ralliart.

I have heard some people blocking off the stupid egr on the intake manifold, but usually they already have a piggy back or standalone ecu to *fudge* the egr off.

Is there really a difference between ecu’s from the wagons and sedans? If there is could you get a sedan ecu to sort out the flat spots on take off?
