So long time looker 1st time poster
i have a 2002 CG VRX as the title suggest's and just running on the stock wheels.
so looking to finally upgrade, looking at 17" and i know they are 4x100 stud, but when it comes to Tyre size im not quite sure what suits best, there isn't a great deal of info i have found as i know the CG wasn't around long but hoping someone here can get me moving in the right direction

Thanks
Mikey

i have the same car, standard size from factory is 195/55/R15 but they are ugly and too small for a good look, the ones i use are 215/40/r17 . just remember if u want bigger rims like 17's or 18's make sure u get low profile tyres to avoid the tyre scraping the inner body.

i 17's on my car when i first bought them but the tires were too big , they were 215/45/r17 and the tires used to scrape the inner body, buffered the metal bare. 40 is a good size for 17's on this car imo

I had the same trouble, my wagon is a 12/04 with 4/114.3mm pcd, so choices were somewhat limited in wheels, thank god for multifit wheels !!
To keep it within the legal overall diameter dimensions allowable by the relevant transport authorities/ and those insurance companies that go out of their way to look for an excuse not to pay up than as stated above the 215/40/17 inch or the 205/40/17 inch wheels would prob be the best choice.
I have the 215/40/17" reverse deep dish with a 35p offset, which seem to suit as a great all rounder.
