Wheel and Tyre Question/Information Thread

i think they are screws and yes if they are still there and fouling on the wheel remove them
that could well be what is the problem

yet again you lovely mentlegen help me out :) did a quick check today and both back wheels had one screw in the drum which was sitting on one part of the multistud causing it not to be fully flush...

did a quick trip round the block and got up to 100km/h without any problems or vibration :)

No worries lol

Ch lancer wagon.
15x6.5 +18s 195 50s
will it work? with superlows and rolled guards? will it scrub without having the guard rolled?

Where you getting them wheels from your push bike. 15x6.5 would fit anything

they're +18 though which is fairly aggressive. I had 17x7's +40 on my CG which was on coilovers. Without rolling, they sat as close to the guards as you could get them with a Maxxis tyre. When the brand of tyre was changed, in the same specs (205/40) it scrubbed. 6.5 +18 will sit a bit further out then mine did if my maths is right, so you will probably need the guards at the rear rolled to keep them inside, or if you're looking for a bit of flushness, maybe if you use a 185 tyre they should fit without needing rolling.

here is quick one for you how much stretch could I get out of a 185 x 60 tire

car is a CE coupe - I am being a tight arse and dont want to spend money on tires as well as rims

What do you mean 'stretch'? Like how long you can drive on them for without needing to change them? Depends on how many skids you do. :p

Oh ok, well I think the general "safe" stretch is 10 points the difference of the width of the rim. So a 7" wide rim would be 205, 215, or 225. At least that's what I had always been told.

i have seen a few crazy stretches on youtube and that sort of thing, think it was like a 195 on a 7.5 or 8" wide rim, was heckers
