Water pump

recently my water pump started leaking and i was just seeing to change my water pump or the seal do i have to take my timing chain off
 
The pump is belt driven, so yes timing belt has to come off to replace the pump.

Really recommend taking the time to do the belt as well. Can be done done at home without too much fuss. Your main points of difficulty will be the crank bolt, engine mount and of course ensuring the engine is in time.
