Stalling

After cleaning the battery terminals on the weekend,
the little lancer keeps stalling when pulling up at the lights.
Reading through the manual there are 14 steps to check many of the relevant electronic components.
Step 15 = adjust idle speed.
That'll do me ;-)
Measuring mV, degrees Celsius and cleaning harness connectors were never high on my list of fun filled motor therapies

Interesting though that engine idled fine before disconnecting the baterry

The car probably now has a more solid connection with the battery but give it some time I'd say and let the ECU re-learn your driving habits (since ECU resets when battery is out for more than 1hr). Depending on how long you didn't drive the car, the battery may have lost charge overtime so just keep driving to charge. Just my 2c worth.

Kinda interesting , but
the diagnostic flowhart says to let the engine idle for 10 mins after re-connecting the battery.
I was assuming that was to ensure engine was at operating temperature.
Closed loop EFI can learn basic functions, like fuel trim on coast, transmission shift points etc.
The computer in our CH is pretty basic though and relying on the idle speed servo to prevent stalling is problematic.
That's why I went for the mechanical adjustment.
Hasn't stalled since and that annoying whistle from the throttle body is gone too.
It's all good, thanks.
