Autotechnica may also have rails or know who can supply them, might be worth popping through an email.
 
I'm after some clarification.

What exactly is required to fit evo 7,8,9 seats (or seats with rails to fit evo 7,8,9) into the CE lancers?

Nope, you need Evo 7-9 seats for a CG/CH
The mounts and rails are different.

Apparently you can mod them to fit, but anyone who's done it, hasn't been forthcoming with the answer or DIY.
 
As far as I know, any seat from the same series are a direct fit.
So CE's will fit evo 4-6, CG & CH - evo 7-9 and so on.

Don't Evo 7 seats look pretty much identical with the mainly dark blue and black colour scheme?
 
This is gonna be a long stretch (and I have googled to little help, googling actually brought up this thread, go figure :roll: ).

I'm trying to find info on rails to suit an Evo 4/5/6 that allow the side mounting brackets to be directly mounted to. I've done reading up and I can't really source anything to say that they exist or anything, and tbh maybe I'm just not searching for the right thing...
I know it's a long stretch but worth the shot I guess. Worse comes to worse I'll just mount em straight to the chassis somehow else.

Yeah i just searched for evo 7 seats are there pretty much the same colour i didnt know that before.
Would the evo 7 seats bolt straight on?

that about sums it up, as long as the seats possess the original rails then the above applies,
 
So do these evo 4-6 Recaro seats need to be certed or anything so that they are legal, or is it ok just to bolt them in and go because you wont be making any changes to the way that the seats are mounted in the car?
I'm looking at getting a set of Evo 5 Reccaros for my '02 CE2 and im wondering if there will be the annoying hidden cost of getting it certed because im skint as at the moment.

One thing I haven't added to the list is Galant/Legnum Recaro's.
I'm not sure of the fitment, but maybe Evo recaro seat rails may fit.

i just bought these, supposedly they use the same rail as lancer cedia, which is the same as lancer/evo789
