Seat Upgrade Info - Evo Recaro, FTO, ect.

may be a silly questions.. but..
are the coupe rear seats, the same as sedan rear (CE)????
I need some rear MR's but don't want to risk getting them and find that they don't fit

Not as far as I'm aware, 99% sure they are different between all three versions(Hatch/Coupe/Sedan).
 
Rear sedan will fit a coupe and vise versa

Only difference is the bottom piece, the sedan is rounded on the front corners while the coupes are almost squared off (I have attached a sedan pic to show you, the red lines will show u how the coupes bottom piece will sit)

Im using sedan seats in my coupe

IF you can score a set of front evo 9 recaros
and u know a boily or good welder they go in better with less mods to the rails
than the fto seat rails

ive had them in my car for 5 years now and there still going strong
 
So have since found all sparco reclinables will bolt to stock rails not sure if this was a well known thing or not. Will prolly need to modify the bracketd to lower the seats if your tallish

had a sparco recliner on a oem rail. no fun.jpg


was way too high. spend the dosh to get some rails made up. heck, you can make a base template for it with some wood and dowels and give that to a fabricator
 
Good info here. Evo CP9A entire seat set is about $500-600 now and is a more tasteful than aftermarket ones I reckon.

Wonder how much seats weight too...
 
Who did you use to get your rails made paulie? Could just lowering the bolt points be enough?

Does anyone know if evo rails sit lower?

Hey guys, I know this has been quiet for a bit now, but was just wondering if I could get some clarification. Is there a set of front and rear seats I can get that pretty much just bolt on, and match... and function properly...... and look okay.. for a 2002 ce lancer coupe...? I'm not fussy about which, just want a bit of an upgrade. I know it's probably asking a bit haha but it'd be nice to know exactly what works specifically for my model. Sorry if I'm being a bit selfish with it :p
