Post your 1/4 Mile Drag times

Way too busy at willowbank last night, only got a couple of runs. Slow launch, with a *poo* 60ft still ran a 12.9 at 114mph. Flying at the end with the trap speed, well into fifth gear.

is this the new setup?

No mate, I haven't changed a thing as i'm collecting a few more parts, Its still 287hp at the fronts. With a better 60ft of around 1.9 and if I can get it to stop spinning second, at that mph it should do a 12.5 without changing anything. I just need to go when its not busy, that was crazy for a Wednesday night.

farking quick car dude. Lost all the *poo* when matty told me you pulled a 12 with a 1.5T. What diff is in the thing?

Just a ralliart lsd, standard 1.8 box. I left the car on the trailer, to go up again in the next couple of weeks.

How much was the diff/where was it from? I might come watch it. Not sure I want to run again if its busy again.

Went for a run today, completely full weight street spec, I had no time to strip anything or change tires.

The day was pretty good for a first try, got rained out twice. Was a bit humid and greasy but you cant help that!

Things I learnt, Get better at launching the car without listening to the motor, I couldn't even hear if my car was on next to the *fudge*ed out drag cars.. ( I had the only Japanese car, only 4cyl car, only FWD, only NA. so yeahhhh )

Was annoyed I only got 2 runs as I wanted to drop the tires down to around 18psi @ the front. Rain is a *mum*. So long story short my 60" times were *poo* 2.52 at the best.

Oh well I know there is alot more in the car, Just need to fix my starts!

Full of excuses ;) Still I think the time is solid with the 60ft considered. I gotta get it down to a 2.3 at least if Trent can do it!! :)

haha too right, i got that 60ft with -3* camber and stretched tyres :p
you need a 2.5" exhaust so bad man, you have no idea how much that 2" is restricting it. you'll get in the 14's straight up

UPDATED!

need more times from you other states! nsw is killin it ;)

heh, Vic has like one drag night a month across the whole state..

calderpark is now open every friday night! Should organize a VIC meet up there

Is it really!! *poo* yeah... Common Victorian's join me at Heathcote its $40 cheaper!

And Calder is $25 a run, compared to Heathcote park which you get usually 10 runs for the $60

Well I am in then!! Ill be back from South Korea mid November. Lets make a meet ! What dates are available?

you don't need to listen to your engine, just hold your revs at about 4500rpm, handbrale up, in 1st gear with foot on clutch just enough to feel the car WANT to move but the handbrake is stopping it rolling forward

Stage lights go green, drop the handbrake and ease the clutch off

Ive done that many mnay times when I was fwd, managed a 13.1 on a stock evo setup

Yeah that was my plan with the LC set at 4200k. I could get it to hook up like that easy using the same technique you described on the public roads, the track seemed greasy as *fudge* after the rain cleared.. Wasnt working so I tried different things. I improved from 16.1 to 15.5 in one run, still a terrible start. Shame I couldn't do a few more and get it right. I just need practice doing it in a race environment thats all it is. I am far far from an expert driver, the car as it is will see low 15s when I learn to drive it !
