Hi All!

I’m brand new, so saying g’day and introducing myself. I’ve got an ‘07 4g69 lancer that has been running like a trooper until recently. I’ve done some work on cars before but this is my first Mitso’ so bit of a learning curve no doubt

I’ve posted a separate thread about the issue so won’t go into detail here.

If there’s one thing I’d love to upgrade, other than turning it into a rocket, would be 5th gear (or add a 6th). Just doesn’t seem tall enough - comfortably doing 60km/h in 5th just seems weird to me, I’d rather the engine was more relaxed on the highway. Anyway, thanks for having me along!

I 100% agree with you on the 5th gear not being the greatest on the highway. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but i'm pretty sure the 4g63 tranny does bolt up but you'll need to do something about the awd aspect (Saw a madlad on Tiktok who made a rwd lancer by deleting the front diff, so possibly just delete the parts needed for the rear driveshaft?).

That's my shot in the dark anyways, hopefully you stick around!
