Hi all,

Just a quick intro. I've just bought a nice ES CH wagon to go surfing in. I'm looking at doing a few things to it and would really appreciate peoples' input and knowledge.

Cheers
Matt

Gday and welcome bud.

Not too many of the wags on here, but sure can help with other mechanical stuffs

Thanks Donki. I'm looking forward to modifying a car again so any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are some awesome wagons! I'll be sure to pick your brains during my build.
So far I've only got the windows tinted but I'll be working on the stereo and the suspension soon.

Damm, a 2.4 lt mivec, mines a 12/04 model and the 2.4lt did not come out till mid 05, so i missed out, oh well at least my fuel economy is good!! wagon looks like a really clean unit as well (good colour) :yum:

As far as the stereo goes heaps of members on here can give advice, you can do a double din conversion/or better single din head unit, third choice relocate the radio to bottom dash slot and mount 3 x gauges in top single din slot.

A double DIN conversion would be good. I'd like an in-dash GPS rather than the one stuck on my window.

So far I've found the car to have pretty bad fuel economy. I'm not sure if this is true or just because my previous car ran on the smell of an oily rag. It's got plenty of power for my needs though.

Yes the 2.4lt mivec like the fuel, especially the auto's. I don't think anyone buys them for the fuel economy anyway, mainly grunt/mod factor.
If you look at the USA forum's they all whinge about the fuel economy in the auto's (I think mainly because they only came in auto's when they released the model in the US, no manual's imported, only auto's, poor yanks.
Plus the wagon's are a bit more heavier, but I think if you drive it easy the fuel economy isn't that bad in a manual, but it's too much fun not to give it a squirt, hence more fuel!
