lock barrel help

hi
i am trying to remove the lock barrel from the boot lock to switch it over to work with another key.
the locks i am trying to switch are from a cc lancer.
does anyone know how to remove the lock barrel, as i can't find anything on it and can't work it out.

yeah i have it out of the car.
what i have is a lock from a cc wagon and a lock from cc sedan.
what i want to do is take the barrel from the lock from the sedan (key not worn) and place that barrel in the cc wagon lock housing (so the key from the sedan will work the lock from the wagon).
i can't just swap the locks as they work 2 different ways ( wagon has turn key left to lock and turn key to right to unlock and sedan only has turn key to the right to unlock).

the total goal is to replace all the locks on the wagon with the locks from the sedan as the keys it to far worn on the wagon (only lock that is the problem is the tailgate/boot lock).

I have not, Im planning of going to the wreckers tomorrow (if i wake up in time)

Ill have a look and see if I can come up with something to help you out.

i think i might take them to a locksmith and see if they can change them.
maybe you need some special tool to remove the barrel.
i bet they will charge an arm and a leg for 10 min work.

well the tail gate lock is fecked and can't be rekeyed.
so i am starting the look for a new lock that i can replace it with.
the main thing i am wanting to know do the ce wagons take the same key as the cc wagons? (so i can take a lock from one of them and have it rekeyed as the cc locks seem to be to old and can't be rebuilt easily)
i am guessing tron may be able to help me with this.

thanks for any help in advance

the lock style is the same, so im assuming the key is the same,

however today at my wrecking yard experience, i discovered that the CE wagons have a different ignition barrel arrangement from the CCs, so im inclined to not say they are 100% the same. the CE wagons i looked at had an induction ring (im assuming this means the keys have a transponder in them) where as the CCs didnt.

hope this helps.

i guess i will give the locks a go as i don't think the tailgate lock would of changed.
the rest of the locks in the car will be from the cc.

thanks for the help
