Cold air intake

After being on me P's for a whle now, ive noticed that i get a lot more power at night (im guessing that's because its a lot cooler at night). So i'm gonna stupidily assume that a cold air intake is gonna imprive the performance during the day. Whats the best way to run one?, straight from the filter box to the fron bar then chuck a pod on?, or just go pod?. looking at where the airflow metre box is, looks like i can move it so yea im not to sure

cheeeeeeers,

also depends on how legal you want to keep it
this one is nice and neat, but not legal

i however like josh's because it looks like it does the job, but also isnt that crazy looking that cops will be all over it (page 3 and 4 of his rides thread will show you)

defectable free usually costs more
but, if your keen on a good one that is really good, go for the k&n appollo setup
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/K-N-APOLLO-CLOSE ... ccessories
may have the high price tagg, but TBH its the best legal one that you can get without building it yourself
i run an almost identical system and its the bee's knee's

but you live in brizzy so even henry's kit is legal up here,
coz in QLD the rules are that it has to be secured to the chassy of the car, doesnt say it has to be covered, but you may aswell get a heat shield, they are cheap

yeah agreed, simple works too...

i have a piece of rolled aluminium from my grille to a cutout in the cooling plate near to the enlarged RA intake snorkel, running into the OEM airbox with a K&N filter... I used both Dynolicious and GTAC Pro to measure the before and after and found results over the standing quarter.. not a lot, but for a $120....enough.

i have similar and is legal if its attached to car and doesn't move around

trust me, theres no such thing as 'legal'.
if they want to *fudge* you over for it, they will.

as long as it is adr approved, they can say what they want, take it to court and they pay your court fee's has you walk away smiling.

yea my orginial idea was to remove the filter box all together, still have the piping going through the air fflow box, and attatching a pod to wherever the intake it.

yea thats the bit where im gonna get stuck i rekon. might have a closer look this weekend n see what i can do

pods r illegal on ur p's. enclosed or not. 2 mates have been defected for them. and mike moonskies, member from MLGA. he has a stock air box, stock air intake snorkle in his engine bay, but had a pod. got defected.

lol, your in a different state tho josh, in qld they dont really care too much about pods as far as i have seen
your best bet is to get henry's kit, it comes with everything u need brackets, silicone joins, pipeing and poddy, and it'll give u the gains ur looking for

How so?, i had a argument with a mate on this... i can't see ANYWHERE, where it says that "performance" mods are not allowed... Just the general "not over 200KW" not a v8 not turbocharged... etc..

its no turbo/superchargher, not over 200kw's, not v8, and no engine swaps or any mods that require and engineering certificate
*but u can drive turbo diesels

yeh go henry's CAI its good stuff and its bolt on and easy to do
