Advice on Lowering

Hey,

Recently I have put some 18 x 7.5" rims on my MY14 LX lancer and now I am wanting to lower it a touch as it sits fairly high.
Has anyone have any advice on how much to safely lower it without causing scrubbing?

Here is a photo for a reference.
Cheers,

Roll your guards / have your guards rolled. Will sort out most scrubbing issues :)

That is always an option but would rater not at this stage... Also one other thing, do the Lancers require a camber kit? or is it just a straight and simple spring swap?

Cheers

Simple spring swap.

@paulie why bother if you don't need to #unrolledclub

I needed a camber pin on one side at the front of my car after dropping onto King Lows but it wasn't overly expensive to get done and was done at the same time as getting a wheel alignment.

Once you lower it you will see whether or not the rear guards needs rolling, its not an overly complex task.

I think rolling is just a safeguard. You don't have to pump the guards - I did unknowingly and now have chubby cheeks. But it's just insurance for when you inevitably hit that bump that puts a nice groove in the tyre. Especially if you buy nice rubber. But the CJs do offer a lot more room. So maybe unnessecary

I'm getting the feel rolling the guards is the way to go even if you don't really require it. So in the case does anyone know of a good reliable place in the Brisbane region to get it done?

rolling the guards is good,
and no the lancer doesnt need camber unless you are slamming it on 9.5 +20 or bigger
as for lowering i know this thread is a few months old but coilovers are the way to go
Ive been on springs, coils and now on bags and can say coils are the best option for the value

Finally got around to lowering it a touch, didn't want go to low. I'm happy with the end result.
Thinking about getting the guards rolled but need to find a good place on the north side of Brisbane.
Still deciding what I want to do next...
