2004 lancer ch es speaker sizes ??

Had a quick look today and I think they may be 6" but does any1 know the exact size of the front and rear speakers ?? thanks
 
ES theyre all 6.5" Speakers, but the mounts are some stupid custom mitsi footprint. Theyre the same in my 07 VRX.

If you wanna make it really easy, buy some of theese:

Theyre the perfect fit and allow you to bolt a 6.5" speaker into the stock mounts. Or they also do them for 5.25" speakres aswell. Used them in mine, both fronmt and rear, and theyre great.
 
i put 6.5" sony's in today... the mounts didnt line up at all but i just put big washers on to hold the speaker in place.

thanks guys. bloody sub stopped working like 5 days after I got in in so kinda annoyed and don't want to rush into a new sub/amp yet so that's why I was just gonna do the 4 speakers. :D
 
haha yeah two of the washers are actually rubber...off roof sheeting screws. Hoped they wud help dampen any movement.
Ps. have a search around. I got my sub for $5 at a garage sale. it pumps. Bought the amp off a mate for $50. $15 to recarpet the semi custom square box. Got a pic in my ride thread. Im a tight one so scored well :cool:
 
Yeah i bought all my sounds at dealer clearances so paid about 1/4 of their value :p but those mount brackets have to be my best find. The worst part is waiting for them to arrive
