04 VRX lights-spray on tint?

Hey guys thinking of buying some of that spray on black tint for my CH vrx rear tail lights to give it a light tint. Not sure how the product works or weather it's permanent or not but just wondering if anyone had any pictures of it done before I go do mine and wreck them or something.

I can't afford aftermarket ones so just thought tinting the stock lights might look good and for $30 heaps cheaper.

Cheers, Dan.

VHT Niteshade is a transparent black paint that you can use (pretty much everyone does). 3-4 light coats will be enough, mine have 5 heavy coats, can't see the brake lights during the day so I always have my parkers on (DRLS) so you can see the brake lights. It is a defectable mod if you can't see the brake lights when you brake (hence why I have my lights on all the time). As long as you give it enough coats to be dark enough but still see your brake lights, you'll be fine. Otherwise just have your lights on all the time like me.

Cheers ABS, I've got some of the spray on tint now so ill give it a crack hopefully this weekend. But that film could also be good for my fog lights I was thinking of some way to tint them a colour and the film will do the trick =]

So I have to take a decent pic but I lightly tinted my lights with the spray and I LOVE it.

It's a subtle difference but I hugely prefer the look

The VRX altezzas can get away with the spray on tint, though not the standard CH lights. Vinyl tint works best on these. Good stuff :)

Cheers =] ill take a better pic in the day but its just enough tint to make a difference. I think it suits the car better since the cars a dark colour.

Looks good man ;) Tint spray is definitely the way to go with tail lights I think. The film worked good on my foggies cause they're smaller and easier to do than a head/tail light

Yeah it was hard to get it perfect though I'm a but anal OCD sometimes but I'm happy with it. I still have to buy some yellow tint for my front foggies

I got mine off eBay for like a couple of bucks for an A4 sheet. I'm pretty ocd too sometimes but in the foggies the outer metal around the glass lens hides the edges perfect

I hate waiting for things to come from eBay. Can you buy the tint at shops?
Did you take the fog lights off the car to tint them? If so was it hard to remove

The tint I got was from Melbourne so I got it like 2 days later. Not sure if shops can match that price if they even have it.
They come out easy as. If u look from the front of the car there is 2 holes besides the light. One at the top one at the bottom. Poke ur screwdriver in the bottom one and undo that screw. Make sure u hold the light with the other hand so it doesn't fall
Out.
The top screw is to adjust the angle of the lens.
It'll take you like half an hour to do both lights it's pretty easy and a good opportunity to give em a good clean with ur ocd and all that :)

Yeah sweet. Cheers mate. I've ordered some off eBay anyway. Can't go wrong for $1.90 haha
Still might go around to a few places like super cheap but doubt ill find anything.

Took another pic but realised once I put the lights back on the car that there not quiet dark enough but I guess that means I have something to keep me entertained for a little bit next time.
