Turbo 4g93 or turbo 4g94

So just after some info from people that have turboed either or both engines. Power numbers, drivablity ect. Just trying to find out what engine is better
 
4g93 easy to make 100kw atw with pretty much any smallish turbo. my original td04 setup was making max boost around the 2200rpm mark from memory.

300+kw possible built motor maybe even 400kw+ but wouldn't say it's drivable. lol

4g94 obviously would make a few more nm but generally don't make much more power. more responsive turbo boost.
pushing the limits it might not be as good with it's thinner cylinder lining ;)
 
DrB how many different size turbos did you have and at what rpm would they produce full boost?

And a turbo that'd make about 180kw atw, what rpm would that spool at would you say?
 
So I might be able to get a turbo cheap.

Compressor:
Housing: .60 a/r
Wheel: inducer 46.5 reducer 60mm

Turbine:
Housing: T3 flange .48 a/r
Wheel: inducer 58.5 reducer 48.75mm

Is there anyone that can tell be if this would be a good turbo for around 130kw. I was hoping to run around 10 psi.
 
What turbo manifold would that work with?
You can get those Kinugawa(?) turbo manifolds for pretty cheap and run TD04/TD05 turbos I believe

td04 about 2200-2400, 8-12 psi it was a long time ago so might be off, power at 12 psi 140kw.
GT3076R w/0.5 rear 12psi reached around 3500, max power was about 240kw@30+psi.
GT3076R w/0.82 rear 12psi reach around 4000, max power was about 290kw@30+psi.
S362SXE w/0.92 rear highly dependent on gear, 5k 3rd, 4400 4th. max power no idea, haven't got there yet. 325kw@35psi measured so far.

I think pushing the td04 might get you to 180kw.

sounds like something close to a td05 16g, maybe a bit big for what your aiming for but plenty of room to grow ;)
